Bridal Makeup Service Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking value is required to secure the wedding date.
No booking will be confirmed until the deposit has been received and acknowledged in writing.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days prior to the wedding date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Payment
Payment is accepted via bank transfer or cash only.
Late payments may incur a 10% surcharge if not settled within 7 days of the due date.
All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include standard travel within the agreed radius (see below).

3. Travel Charges
Travel within a 15-mile radius of Thirsk is included.
Travel beyond this area will be charged at the following rates: £0.60 per mile (round trip) for events taking place in 2026. £0.80 per mile (round trip) for events taking place in 2027.
Parking fees, tolls, or congestion charges are not added to the invoice and remain the responsibility of the artist.

4. Cancellations and Amendments
Cancellations made more than 6 weeks prior to the wedding date will forfeit the deposit only.
Cancellations made within 6 weeks of the wedding date will be charged in full.
Reductions to the number of clients or services booked must be made no later than 8 weeks before the event; otherwise, the original total will still apply.
Any amendments must be confirmed in writing by both parties.

5. Trials
Bridal makeup trials are non-refundable once completed.
Trials are recommended to take place between 6 and 3 months prior to the wedding date.
Should a second trial be requested, it will be charged at the same rate as the initial trial.

6. Health and Safety
Clients must disclose any known allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical conditions prior to makeup application.
The artist will not be held liable for any reactions that occur where information has not been disclosed in advance.
All tools and products are sanitised in accordance with professional hygiene standards.

7. Photography and Social Media
With your consent, the artist may take photographs of the completed makeup for use on professional portfolios, social media, or marketing materials.
Clients who prefer not to have their images used may opt out by notifying the artist in writing prior to the wedding date.

8. Artist Responsibilities
In the unlikely event that the artist is unable to attend due to illness, accident, or other unforeseen circumstances, all monies paid will be refunded in full.
Where possible, reasonable efforts will be made to source a suitable replacement artist.

9. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring all members of the bridal party are ready at their agreed times.
Delays caused by the bridal party may result in reduced service time, without entitlement to a refund.
A suitable workspace, power supply, and good natural lighting should be provided on the day of service.

10. Agreement
By paying the deposit, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
